What if you could erase someone from your memory? After the impulsive decision to erase an ex-girlfriend, Joel finds himself traveling through his memories to try to save a few precious memories of their relationship. Director Michel Gondry's use of practical (rather than digital) special effects creates a sense of reality in this otherwise surreal film.
