College essays are a different breed of writing.  You are trying to market yourself as a great candidate for admission while writing a solid, original and inviting piece of work.  It’s a daunting task!  However, through running university admissions committees and teaching college students how to write strong essays, I have had 25 years of experience helping students create solid and effective college essays.  

 

This workshop will feature essential guidance for brainstorming and crafting college essays. Most colleges are relying on essays as a crucial part of their admissions reviews. These essays figure prominently in these holistic reviews and have risen in importance due to test-optional policies. Summer is a great time to find out the essentials for writing a solid admissions essay!

Part of the speaker's presentation will be interactive, so we encourage you to bring a laptop or notebook in order to respond to writing prompts.
