Spring is here! Whether you have a large patio in need of decoration, are gardening someplace where space is at a premium, or are just looking for a fun alternative way to plant some prized veggies, container gardening can be a great way to enhance your gardening repertoire. Join us at the Bedford Public Library as Betsey Golon-Flatten shares ideas to help find success growing in containers.
Betsey Golon-Flatten is a ethnobotanist and historical herbalist. She was herbalist and director of the herbal internship at Sabbathday Lake Shaker community for over 20 years and currently serves George Washington’s Virginia estate and gardens as herbalist honorarium. She continues to work as a volunteer with the University of Maine extension and at Joppa Hill Farm here in Bedford. She demonstrates and lectures at flower shows and for garden clubs on the east coast.
