Did you check out seeds from the Seed Library this summer and are interested in learning how to save seeds to share with next year's gardeners? Join us at the Bedford Public Library as Betsey Golon-Flatten shows us how to save and share seeds from vegetables, herbs, and flowers.
Betsey Golon-Flatten is a ethnobotanist and historical herbalist. She was herbalist and director of the herbal internship at Sabbathday Lake Shaker community for over 20 years and currently serves George Washington’s Virginia estate and gardens as herbalist honorarium. She continues to work as a volunteer with the University of Maine extension and at Joppa Hill Farm here in Bedford. She demonstrates and lectures at flower shows and for garden clubs on the east coast.
