Attendees will learn about how to get started, successful germination requirements, different growing methods and mediums, light and temperature requirements, overcoming common problems, hardening off seedlings for transplanting into the garden, and best practices to ensure seedlings successfully grow into healthy mature plants.
Donna Lussier has been a UNH Extension Master Gardener since 2017 and a Master Gardener Speakers Bureau presenter since 2018. She is extensively involved in her own gardens and works at a garden center during the gardening months. She is an advocate for education, with a BS degree in nursing, and has been involved for many years in teaching various groups in several hospitals. Donna continues to teach through the Master Gardeners Speakers Bureau, and periodically presents to libraries, garden clubs, and community organizations. In addition, Donna is a member of the Pelham Garden Group and New Hampshire Federation of Garden Clubs. Her goal is to share her gardening knowledge with the community so others may reap the benefits of enjoyment, bonding, and fulfillment, and connect with their own gardens and nature. She equates gardening with nursing: nurturing, care, productiveness, and fulfillment will result in a better outcome.
